Analogy alert!
Blades of grass are like small businesses. They grow little by little, every day, taking in nourishment from the sunlight and rain. Some blades of grass grow faster than others, much like businesses in different industries.
Dandelions are like those businesses that are scaling. They grow exponentially compared to the blades of grass because they are putting processes and systems in place that are repeatable. The tall, sturdy stems allow for the wind to blow the seeds and spread them to other areas.
Many people consider dandelions to be weeds because they stand out and prevent lawns from looking uniform. Other people capitalize on the benefits of dandelions.
In my yard, I clearly welcome all types.
I'm curious, would you compare your business to a blade of grass or a dandelion?
