Two memories popped into my mind this morning. One involved playing high school basketball (go T-birds), and our team entered the locker room after completing the first half of the regional competition. I realized at the time that the second half could potentially be my last game playing in high school. At the time, it didn't matter how much I played, I was there to cheer on my teammates to do their best.
The second memory was running the Lakefront Marathon in 2008, which was my second marathon within 9 months. I was running next to a buddy of mine, and at the 13.1 mark, Bon Jovi's song "Livin' On A Prayer" lyrics came to mind. I started singing it to help us celebrate what we already achieved.
As we embark on the second, let's reflect on all we have accomplished this year and review our goals moving forward. Do we need to pivot and make some changes? Or is it best to continue on the same path, but do things better?
What do you want your second half to look like?
